Map Diary is developed by Can Bi. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.

The Short Version

Map Diary does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers. Everything stays on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads.

Data Collection

Map Diary does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

• No account creation or login
• No analytics or usage tracking
• No advertising or ad identifiers
• No third-party SDKs or services that collect data
• No cookies or similar technologies

Network activity goes only to Apple, never to us:

• Apple’s StoreKit, for optional in-app purchases (Pro subscriptions, Lifetime unlock, and tips). Purchase processing is handled by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details.
• Apple Maps services, for map tiles, place search, place details, address lookup, street-level imagery, and route directions. See the next section.

Apple Maps Services

Maps in Map Diary are provided by Apple. The following features send information to Apple’s servers so they can answer:

• Map display. Viewing the map loads map tiles from Apple for the area you are looking at.
• Searching the map. The text you type and the coordinate of the area you are looking at are sent to Apple to find matching places.
• Tapping a place on the map. When you tap a place that Apple already shows on the map, a reference to that place is sent to Apple to get its name and coordinate back.
• Looking up an address. When you save a location, its coordinate is sent to Apple to get a street address and country back.
